Creating a Team

The team is the top-level configuration concept in ScaleFT. Each team has an Identity Provider (IdP) configuration, which allows users who can authenticate via that IdP to log into ScaleFT.

When you create a team, by default you are given “Team Administrator” permissions.

Additional team members will have only certain read-only permissions, because by default new users are only added to the everyone group. Additional permissions, such as server access, must be granted by you or another team administrator.

You can add an additional user to the owners group in ScaleFT to grant them administrative privileges in the ScaleFT dashboard.

Choose a Team Name

Your team name must be unique to you (and cannot contain spaces). All resources you create and manage with ScaleFT will be scoped to your team.

Choose an Identity Provider

You will be asked to select and configure an Identity Provider for your team, so ScaleFT knows how to authenticate your users.
